Tom, After good preparation (wet sanding) of the bottom clear coats you should probably apply 3 coats with graphite. Be sure to accurately mix the same ratio of graphite in every coat. I would not recommend varnish on the graphite as it is only in the sun when you have capsized. In addition, part of the objective of the graphite is to give you a surface to wet sand (perhaps as fine as 1200 grit) to keep your bottom perfect season after season. Best regards, Bram |
