This is an email forwarded from a new strip supplier. These guys appear to
have a really sophisticated machine to make strips. Can someone tell me if
this compares with the latest prices from Raven?

Hi Bram,
Thanks for your quick response.
I have worked out a quotation in US funds for 5,204' The proportions are as
you requested.
W.Red Cedar B&C strips: 1/4" x 3/4"
24.6% - 80 pcs @ 16' = 1,280 lft @ $.32/lft = $ 409.60
50% - 186 pcs @ 14' = 2,604 lft @ $.30/lft = $ 781.20
13.8% - 60 pcs @ 12' = 720 lft @ $.30/lft = $ 216.00
11.5% - 60 pcs @ 10' = 600 lft @ $.30/lft = $ 180.00
Subtotal ..........$ 1,586.80
Less 10 % ....... - $ 158.68
Total ................. $ 1,428.12
This package averages to $.27/lft.
Of course there is packaging & shipping costs on top.
We trust that you will find this quote favourable. We look forward to being
another one of your long term suppliers of high quality western red cedar for
your Swift Solo.
All the best,
Peter Schultz

Peter,
Good to hear from you.
Would you give us a price on 5,200 feet of 3/4" strips (25%16's, 50% 14's and
the balance in 10' and 12's). This is the amount required to do one Swift and
if we can get a good price from you, we'll put a link on our webstite.
Best regards,
Bram
