Not sure if someone answered this already.
- The height should match the entry of the spring loaded block that
sits right behind the cleat. So when you pull straight
on the halyard it cleats, and when you pull from the port side it
uncleat.
- Put a short rope through it and you will see what I am talking about.
- Bram is working on a class rule to demand that it be painted pink or
bright safety orange since he keeps falling over his. ;-) Or maybe
there is a "size matters" issue here. Anyway no need to create a
brick there. But it does take some load, so make it large enough to
get 4 bolts/screews through it.
