Morning Mark, and all

If memory serves, the 'kicker", is the vang.

A wealth of definitions can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Boom_(sailing)

As for the cunningham. It adjusts the luff of the sale, and thus can effect mast bend. I remember my Fire Ball had a magic box to assist with this adjustment.

I watched the higher faster sailing video yesterday, it's great, they kept referring to the cunningham and the kicker. I think the cunningham is pulling down on the bottom of the sail to achieve more mast bend, is that right? What is the kicker?

Sincerely,

Mark
