Ed,
It is specifically manufactured for the 3M Safety-Walk No-slip tread and tape
edges to seal them. It may also work on other manufacturer's anti-slip. I
will post a reply to Bram on my results with the stuff. He reported problems
with his 3M Safety-Walk peeling up, which may be related to application on a
waxed deck. He removed the wax with acetone, but adhesion may still have been
affected. I mentioned the edge-sealer and he had not heard of it. My deck has
not been waxed yet, so I am hoping that the anti-slip tape will remain in
place properly with the edge-sealer. The 3M Safety-Walk anti-slip product that
Bram used is available from McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com):
Non-Abrasive Polyolefin Anitslip Tape 4"x15' Roll, Black #6243T731
$22.72/roll
Non-Abrasive Polyolefin Anitslip Tape 4"x15' Roll, Grey #6243T732
$22.72/roll
You will probably need 3 rolls minimum and two tubes of sealer.
