Then, a bit of time on the belt sander got everything to level (it's interesting to see how the cedar disappears, but the kevlar is very sanding resistant...). I used a file to remove the interior fillets - some were very consistent, some just fell away. Overall the destructive removal process was quite helpful - it helped learn what a good fillet should look like.
