The webbing I used for the bottom of the support. I had originally intended to cut off the hooks, but the metal is something else - I dulled two jigsaw blades and barely made a dent with the hacksaw. So they'll stay. (I didn't want to re-sew the loops if I took them off that way.) I guess there must be a difference between different steels - these straps are rated for 400 lbs, and the big 1/2" wide eye loop I got for the wall is much beefier but rated the same.
