Instead of doing a herringbone pattern for these, I made both sides cut off at the same angle. It's definately harder to strip this way - glad I didn't do the whole boat this way. The trick is to get a rough angle sanded down, then touch it up gradually with the sanding block. And the lines you sand may appear to be straight, but don't count on it.
