Drilling holes for both the spinnaker sheet ratchet, and the block's mounting bolts to the deck. The guides that I bought have turned out to be one of the best purchases I made - it may not be a drill press, but with a little care, they are very accurate. On this piece, over a distance of around 2 inches, they were out by less than 1 mm.
