All bonded together. This is maybe 7 or 8 squirts of epoxy, plus a bunch of high-density filler. It takes a bunch to fill it all in without any voids. To ensure I had everything correctly placed, I put a level on the main part of the deck, and then a small level on these backing blocks, and made sure they levelled out as well.
