You can see in the middle that there's a bit more pink than at the ends. The weight of the layup caused the middle of the board to sag slightly. More than that, the saddles didn't meet each other perfectly - they were offset by perhaps 1/8”. Because they have to match pretty exactly to get a decent trailing edge and provide pressure in the right location, I was fairly concerned about this offset.
