Ah yes. 1” thick of epoxy will boil. Crap. I knew this; when I built the bow fitting the same thing happened. And I saw it start bubbling. And I thought "gee, I bet that isn't going to work". And I didn't pour out the excess which hadn't yet boiled. And I went to bed. And I made a giant mess to clean up. Man I was mad. I knew better than that.
