Bonding. I basically found the biggest washer I could to shape the fillets, and even that was a bit too small. I sanded down the cured epoxy on the inside of the spreader, put a bunch of epoxy/silica in, pushed it on, and then tinkered with the fillet for a while. Check it's all aligned up, and walk away.
