Finally, done. This wasn't my finest moment. I neglected to dry-mount the plates. I knew the plates had exactly the same hole positioning, but I didn't check that a screw going through the plate and the tiller would actually want to go into the other plate (duh). So I had to pull out the screws and widen the hole in the tiller a bit, getting epoxy on the drill bit, and tiller shavings into the epoxy cup, and a mess everywhere.
