The spreaders, riveted in place. These have to be perfectly centered. To do this, we slid them on, and made sure the collar was equidistant from the track, then marked the points with an awl. Drill the holes in the spreaders, slide them back on again, pinch the spreader ends together so they're tight (and the collar is tight around the mast), and drill the holes into the mast. Rivet, and all done. (We talked about bonding the collar in place with plexus, but what's the point if easy removal in case of a break is the reason for the collar in the first place?)
