Not to mention fewer jet ski's to dodge. Keep in mind that water temps will
actually be on the rise at that time and it should open up a lot more
camping spots and hotel rooms. Having been born and raised in Michigan I
can testify that Randy's acessment of the areas's popularity is not
underestimated. Hope to have a boat in time to come play too.

My view is that the weekend following Labor Day, Sept 11 & 12, would be more
practical.
Since the plan is to camp out on the beach where we'll launch, and South
Higgins Lake is a busy state park, waiting for the summer rush to end will
give us the run of the park and the lake.
