Hi Christian,
I'm sorry I posted the wrong price on my previous post for the cost of the
throat foam blanks and the upper and lower saddles. Actually, I accidentally
hit the send button on the draft email that I was preparing. OOPS! and I
never got around to correcting it.
Taking into account the actual material costs (which I neglected, and the
rate of rejects - I will only send perfect blanks). I think the sustainable
price will be $35 +SH. Material costs deducted, the rest will be given to
the NYC Skiff League. I think you will agree this is a bargain compared to
the cost of a 49er throat. I will send an invoice with the blanks and you
can pay by check when you are completely satisfied.
I can supply partly completed vac bagged carbon-carbon-glass skinned throats
(ready to fit, sand and paint) for those who don't want to cut the radius'd
jig and fuss with bending and skinning their own. These will be $120
stronger stiffer and much lighter than the 49er throats and will also
support the NYC Skiff League.
