Hi Mark,

Not sure if Bram answered the question on the mast step.
I purchased mine from Australia. (Berthwaite design) However it should be
fairly easy to do yourself. The dimension are

7-1/8 long
2-3/8 wide
3/4 High. (The sides of the C are 3/4 high from the top of the base)
3/4 gab. (The gab between the sides are about 3/4)
Thickness is about 1/8, but I dont know what grade aluminum it is.

Since you are going to make you own tenon on the mast base, I don't think the
dimension needs to be very acurate, as long as the two fits in the end.

Hope that helps.
