To any who's been there,
Gunwales are hard as nails
especially to mend it's shape
the edge of carbon Kevlar ate my blades (Jigsaw)
heated them up and broke them in two
no sander can take the heat
only a file will do
gunwales are hard to bend
the edge of wood wants to go straight
no nails or staples will hold it fast
only screws will do
gunwales once all around she goes
rounded corners and edges too
now that's done
there's got to be two
hope the wood glue holds
till the next screw goes in
gunwales as hard as you are to do
my appreciation for your hardness
will be when I'm standing on you
