Ok, just wanted to know if it needed an eye.  Planning to stand up the mast

Mark,

 

We simply use a figure eight knot that is big enough not to pull through the
grommet on the kite.  

 

At the clinic, one of the first things we do is show how to properly rig the
kite.  It is a bit difficult to explain and really a pain in the ass when
you find you've got it wrong when you launch.
