I found that setting the ring high to start is easiest for me. I can let
myself down easier than pull myself up. The lower the better for leverage
until you are flat with the deck for leverage but being that low is hard
to get back in the boat.
One thing I learned from a Guy named Alex(from S.F) that while leveraged out
you can go into a squat much faster than pulling yourself up on the trap.
lessening the chance of teabagging (by your weight penduling to the centerline)
It's also an easier and quicker entry into the boat with just a slight pull up
you can use your bigger leg muscle to get upright in a hurry.Speeding those
jibes and tacks. I still have to practice the timing.
