If you really want to win X-class in those conditions, you should consider
the ever popular single-handed Aussie 18 with the big rig. You could have
likely lapped the rest of the field. Trouble was that it actually blew 7 knots
for a while on Sunday for the first race but a huge ship decided to come into
the harbor and drop it's anchor exactly halfway between the committee boat
and the weather mark. Since the part of the prop that was slapping the water
was taller than the masts of the 49er that had started, they decided not to
argue and the 49ers abandoned the race and the entire show was moved down the
bay.
