Guys,
For what it is worth I know that CST use auto clear coating - The panel shop
across the road from their facility does the clear coating for them.

Mike and I had a great sailing season at Jericho this year and I
really started to learn what the Swift is capable of. Virtually every time we
sailed together we were impressed, perplexed and enlightened by all the nuances
of the Swift. By sailing together we continuously challenged each other and
have some interesting observations coming out of the season.
Now that the sailing season is coming to an end and the ski edges are being
sharpened (they got their first backcountry ski day in Calgary this week end)
thoughts turn to maintenance of this awesome craft. The first question that I
would like to re-open is the mast treatment. Has anyone had success with UV
treating their mast. I applied West 207 to the Forte boom with poor results
last season. The boom discoloured, went yellow and the epoxy did not bond well.
I am wondering if we should be just using the Interlux perfection 2 part linear
varnish for the mast, or has anyone had a full season on an epoxy treated mast?

Subject: Fwd: letter from Forte on spars
The following is an email from Forte (Tony) regarding spar issues. Let's
talk about this together before sending any direct responses to Forte.
