To the class, I'll vote for Huntington. It's a mountain resort lake high in the Sierras. Coming back from Desoto, Fl. I saw it all covered in snow. Tall pines surround the whole area, the dam is to the West. No motor boats allowed. As the San Joaquin valley heats up, the winds are like clockwork funneling through, building to their afternoon peak then calming. I kayaked to the end in the morning and practically sailed back, not gusty like a lot of places. I took lots of photos of Bram and Anders while there,check them out on the Great memories, I'd like to have more. Downside is there's no chandleries or major stores nearby. So be prepared.
