Keith,
I believe that I read that this stuff was good for abs to cabon bonding but
I'll try to give Gougeon a call tomorrow to see what kind of success they're
having. I'm pretty sick of the difficulty of getting and dealing with
Plexus. One of the problems that we have is that we can't really use Fortes'
experience on other masts because few of the classes they build for put the
kind of stress / bend that is induced through the sail track on our masts.

I do suspect that many of our class members are putting the outhaul on
unnecessarily tight. That still does not deal with the track coming off at
the top. I truly hope this is the fix.

I'll post back if I can getÂan answer from them tomorrow.

Bram

Bram,

Â

Actual you recommend that I try it in FL last year when I was having a little
track peel... I think Gougeon recommend it to you, but you had not tried it
yet.

Â

When I talk to Forte last they said a number of people are starting to use it
for tracks too.

Â

Keith

Keith,
I'm really pleased that you'v
e given this stuff a go. I have been wondering if it might be the best
product yet.. Did you talk with the research guys at Gougeon or how did you
decide to try it?

Bram

I used G-Flex from West system and have been very impressed by it...

Â

I am getting ready to replace my track on my mast in the next month due to the
plastic is cracked, but the track held to the mast and the plastic cracked
before the the track pulled off the mast...track still on the mast....Âlong
story short...G-Flex I am very impressed by.

Â

New track will be put on with=2 0G-flex.

Does any Âone have any good ideas for mast track âglue â my track which I
repaired with Brams help last year is again coming adrift , only about 18
inches at the base and about 12inches at the top .I think Keith C tried a new
glue in Florida Last year ??
