I've been waiting to address this issue and several others until the sail
testing (of the Chinese Banks sails) was completed. It has been delayed
because they initially failed to send back the prototype that we had sent them
to
compare with. We finally got the originals back and the testing is happening
today (they look identical but testing will tell). Look for more info
tomorrow on this subject.
Because of both the delays in the sails and at the urging of several of our
builders, I think Stuart Florida sounds like a brilliant place for our first
regatta this winter. I can transport several boats down from the Northwest
in my trailer and if we can be assured of good participation from those in
Section 2 (the NE quarter of the US) it makes sense. I'd like to leave this
open for a few days for discussion and to consider possible dates. I think it
should be in February or early March. What do you guys think?
