rudder box

To any builder's,

Has anyone built their own rudder box or do we have to purchase these from 
some vendor.
Can anyone tell me the lay-up for the our rudder box. How many layers of what 
glass. Guide pole length, diameter, it's position and angle. Placement of 
gudgeon holders. any other tidbits.
 What I have is. id    9 15/16 x?(1 5/16)     od   7 3/4 depth x 10 (?/? 
)lenght
