We almost always round marks to port. The luff of the Spinn has a luff cord and 
gromets and cleat at the tack. That should be a clue.

  This should have been reversed. When kite is on port side of boat, the 
halyard goes under the foot and is on the
  back of the kite until the first patch and vice versa when on starboard side.
