Seems like a problem spot.  Did you find my question about the cb and rudder 
lay up?

  Just run the tape flush with the top of the deck and the bottom of the hull 
and don't radius the opening.  Your insert blocks need to transfer 100% of the 
load from the blade to the hull skin and the deck skin (not the sides of the 
trunk).  A radius will only leave less area to take the load and may transfer 
part of it to the trunk sides (will cause a leak).
