Bram,
When reviewing the hardware template for the lower mast section, I see that
the lower shroud T-ball backing plates and the sail feeder will fasten through
the aluminum sleeve used to join the mast sections. What recommendations,
steps and procedures should we consider regarding:
1. Reaction of the aluminum with carbon fiber and S/S fasteners
2. Bonding/Fastening upper mast section to lower section
3. Type and size of S/S pop rivets (see Grainger attachment)
4. Use of rivet washers to back-up fasteners through the carbon spars
