Steve, be careful when drilling through something which has glass on the
other side. Use a pilot drill with successively larger sizes. If you try and
bash through with a large drill, you may force the glass off the other side.
This could also happen if you use a large toothed rasp, so go easy. I would
suggest buying a cheap hole cutter. I bought a set that has about twenty
different sizes. Did not cost too much, but I have used them over and over
again for different jobs.

Ok,

I'm back on the job and have a really obvious question to ask everyone.

What did people use to make the hole in the transom for the little bung?

I don't have a drill bit big enough and it seems too small to do with the
jig saw?

I'm sure I could work something out but thought it might be better to ask
you guys.

Cheers,

Steve
