I really want to thank everyone for your input (I think about 12 responses).
What I've learned: Well the majority of you had the larger file playing in
under a minute--some were not able to completely stay ahead of the buffering
but most were.
I'm learning a lot and think we may come away from Huntington with some
spectacular video because the fetch is small, the water is flatter. The lake
is
narrow with trees on the side which will make the sensation of speed more
obvious. We are attempting to find an experienced video person to run my
XL-1.
If you look at the heading picture on the home page of my site, you'll see a
low quality photo taken from the video at Fort Desoto. The XL-1 has a mode
that will make better video for taking stills off that we'll make use of for
the websites this time. If that photo had been of the high quality of our
still photographers from last year, I think we'd have made the cover of some
magazines.
Look for another video on the single-handedskiffs website by morning (video
page).
Thanks for all that all of you do and have done. I'm really proud to be a
member of this great group of people.
