Al,
Dave might want to list the Swift Solo for sale on the Wooden Boat site.? I
showed USA020 at the 2008 Wooden Boat Show for three days in Mystic, CT this
weekend and generated a lot of interest.? Everyone that came by the boat
remembers the "WB" August '03 edition and took our class brochure.? There were
several people who asked if my boat was for sale.? Who knows what may happen as
a result of the show toward promoting the class.?

Best of wishes to Dave and sorry to see him leave the class.

I thought the group may be interested in a couple of photos of Dave's boat
under construction. One thing I can say it Dave took a lot of time to make sure
it was done right.?

Some of the cedar strips. I think the deck strips are the ones on the bottom of
the stack, and are is?excellent?condition:

A couple of shots of the strong back, early in the process:

Sanding and cleaning the 1st coat of west, prior to classing the hull. You can
get a good idea of the?rich?color of the wood form this shot:

The plan is to cruise from this October to June of '09, at which point I'll
migrate back onto active duty.? Thus, the Swift is for sale.? Re-fitting the
'38 Offshore is the main goal of the upcoming months.

?

The Swift hull is currently glassed.? The cradle needs to be built, kevlar
needs to be laid, the bulheads are completed,?and the deck isn't started. It
comes with all the western red cedar, all the hybrid fabric, carbon tape,
s-glass tape, and the strong back (made from marine grade plywood), and of
course the plans and book.? $1,750 or best offer.? The hybrid, carbon tape, and
glass tape was ordered from John R. Sweet and Co.? All together this would put
you many months ahead of schedule.

?

The options are to pick it up, I can meet you halfway, or it can be delivered
within a reasonable?distance?around New Jersey.? Shipping is negotiable.? It's
been moved once already, and it's stable to move on the strongback.
