Hi Bram,
Sorry about that.? Here's the e-mail!
First of all, thanks for setting this up.? How can I help?? I'd like to order a
blue dynakote spinnaker.? Do you need someone to pick them up?
Second, I'm still trying to get some fullness out of my main at about the
spreader.? I've cranked my cunningham to the point where it's two-blocked, but
if I redid the block system I might be able to bring the sail down another inch
or so.? Yesterday it was blowing in about the mid-teens and I was sailing in
mid-teens wind and had the same trouble I've had before in de-powering the main
enough to let me feel completely in control.? I've shortened the mainsheet
slightly at the end of the boom.? Yesterday I slacked my forestay slightly
(about 6 inches on one side) but it didn't seem to make much difference.? My
lowers are so slack they fall out sometimes when I'm rigging the boat.? I've
tightened my caps slightly because other people noticed my mainsail top was
sagging off to leeward.? I cranked my primaries some more yesterday and that
helped somewhat but not completely.? I checked my tension when I came in and it
was about 25 on the primaries and about 4-5 on the caps.? How can I get my main
flatter?
Finally, I got into RAMROD this week and so will be looking for some good
climbing rides over the next couple months.? I'm not ready to do a serious
climb right now but would like to work up to it.? The Redmond Cycling Club
sponsors a Saturday ride each week beginning today.? I'll either do that ride
or something else each week in addition to riding to work and my spin class
twice a week.? Tomorrow, in place of the training ride I'm going to do about 50
miles from my house.? Next weekend I'm doing the Rhody ride in Port Townsend.?
Weekends after that it would be fun to do some rides with you.
Hope things are well with you and Jane.? I haven't heard from Ron Watt.? Have
you?
Chris

Subject: Sail prices
Guys,
I finally have the complete sail pricing package.
Have some good news and some bad news regarding? prices.? The good news is that
the mains and jibs will remain the same price as last year but the shipping
will be charged actual costs from Banks in Portland to your location.
The bad news is spinnakers will be $853 plus shipping for the old style and
$1192 plus shipping for the Dynakote spinnakers.
Having sailed with both, I believe you will get more than twice the competitive
life out of the Dynakote kites.?
I can deliver sails to the NA's or our local guys can pick them up at my house.
Best regards,
Bram
