ok. I think I am getting the picture now. So first of all you
should make sure it is really too long. Have you measured with the bow template 
(lined up at the correct station) that it is too long? 
If so, how much too long is it? If its really too long, maybe you can extend 
the bow peice to be larger. You would cut away the interlocking strips and have 
the  bow peice start earlier.
