I think a container is a good idea from the Pac NW. But you could also use a
truck to ship the boats just as easily, say to the US Sailing center in
Saint Petes, untill you wanted to get them. Storage there is cheap. There
are people who do just moving of boats as cargo, you might be able to look
them up. Some of the 49er guys used them (Malav Shroff). Later just before
the event someone at the venue with a trailer could help you ferry the boats
to DeSoto and back to St Petes for pickup. Another option -having so many
boats makes the drive worthwhile and free for the one who does the driving? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Wright" <rowr@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Greg Ryan" <gregoryrryan@xxxxxxxxxxx>; "Michael Jocelyn" <>; "Dave Lindsey" <>; "Ian MacPhail" <> Cc: <> Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 2:57 PM Subject: Fort De Sotho Greg and others, I don't know if we are going to get a Canadian contingent all the way down to Florida again. As much as I would like to go, that trip was an absolute nightmare that time of the year for us. (Both in time and difficulties) The only way that I can see it happening from the Canadians perspective is if we get a trailer or container and ship down Mike, Dave, Ian, Roger, potentially Steve Shilling and any others that want to go, and we fly down. We will start talking about it up here to see what the interest levels are. Ian, Mike, (Tim?), Dave, Stephen, any takers?
