I forgot one point! Whenever cold bonding parts to the deck always: 1. Make sure you sand both surfaces to be bonded. 2. wipe the parts down with some acetone after sanding 3. use pressure from wood screws to place the bond under pressure 4. Draw a pencil line around the part to be bonded and mask off the perimeter. 5. use silica in the bonding mix to thicken it up 6. apply more than enough bonding material and whip the excess that oozes out off of the masking tape with a paper towel and later q-tips Best regards, Bram |
