All the aft stations (aft of the widest point) are referenced to the back
surface of the station because this is where the bent strip touches the
station. All stations from the widest station will touch the strip on their
front face. This is the reason the crossover stations 9 and 10 are spaced at
1/2 inch less than the other stations which are spaced at 11 1/2 inches so that
control surface to surface is 12 inches apart when you are using 1/2 inch thick
material. Be sure to remember to place station 1/2 at station 1/2 and not
station zero.
I think it would be of use to make a mark on the deck for station 0. I drilled
a small hole after my mark got sanded off 2-3 times. :-). Knowing exactly where
6 is, is also handy.

  Hi Guys,

I'm starting to think about locating hardware on the deck and have noticed
that everything is referenced to station 0. Obviously it is 12" in front of
station 1. Is it from the front face of station 1? Apologies if this is
somewhere around but I haven't been able to locate any reference to it.

  Cheers

  Steve
