I think you can also locate station 0 by measuring from the transom 13' 11 1/2 
" and subtract 1/4" for the transom inset or 13' 11 1/4", if I did the math 
right.  Greg is right, put a permanent mark there that won't be sanded off, it 
gets old remeasuring to find that silly spot.

  I'm starting to think about locating hardware on the deck and have noticed 
that everything is referenced to station 0. Obviously it is 12" in front of 
station 1. Is it from the front face of station 1? Apologies if this is 
somewhere around but I haven't been able to locate any reference to it.
