When attaching the spreaders to the mast, I'm considering something
Ian MacPhail suggested as a method; add carbon tape and epoxy over the
collar above and below the spreader. Overlapping onto the mast.
I seems like a reasonable suggestion. This would allow the spreaders and
collar to be removed if necessary for some reason. It also reduces intrusive
holes or rivets. Does anyone have an opinion here?
My only concern would be the shear between the to pieces of tape when the
mast flexes. It wouldn't be that much. Or would it?
