To those getting ready, this is a very key point. For me, the best way to
get those last six inches is to take the haliard down to some thing you
can turn on and then back through the loop on the haliard to get a 2:1
purchase. Sometimes you can run the haliard through one of the blocks used
for the cunningham at the mast step. For the first time, make your loop so
that it just makes the first tooth and make the loop large enough to go
over the whole comb. The haliard will stretch and you'll find yourself
getting to the last tooth and it helps to have the loop so that it will
let all of the teeth go through rather than just big enough to accept one
