I think you'll find that the epoxy matrix formed by following the prescribed method does a good job of protecting the fiber from water absorption. An overly dry lay-up would be a problem for this and some other reasons. It is important to make sure that the end fibers that are exposed by cutting pre-laminated bulkheads are coated after cutting for protection. Regards, Bram |
