I'm getting a bit old and now stay on shore when the wind gets too high but
I still need to goad you Aussies so that you're driven to come up and kick
some ass.
I'm really anxious to get some of you young skiff sailors going in the Swift
in big wind and water. I have no doubt that a 49er sailor who is competent
in 20 knots of breeze can sail a Swift in 25 or more.
By the way, the Swift is 80% an Aussie invention both in rigging systems /
ideas and to some degree in hull design . Both Julian and Emmett Lazich
provided a lot of help both directly and indirectly.
