Roger and Dave,
I was disappointed that Jericho was cancelled last summer as I had planned
to attend my first Clinic.
I am at the steepest of the learning curve to participate in a NA,
regardless where it is.
My goal is the get some Clinic time in, and enjoy the Swift with others.

Dave and others,
Even if the official regatta is somewhere else next year, I think that it
will make good sense for us Westerners to plan a regatta at Jericho as
well.
So far there are 2 boats sailing in Vancouver, two more nearing
completion
in Vancouver, one in Calgary 90% complete, Bram has a couple, Ron has
one,
there should be a whole bunch more nearing completion in and around
Seattle,
and the West coast. We could probably get ten or twelve boats to Jericho
next year and then anyone else who fancied a trip to Vancouver could also
participate. Jericho is one of the most ideal sailing spots that I have
seen. Sand beaches/ Vancouver for the family. Full time rescue boat, boat
ramps, restuarant at the clubhouse that has a deck which overlooks the
racing. If we spoke nicely to the club manager at Jericho, he may even
let
us camp there for the week.

Subject: Regatta schedule
Gentlemen,
I will be one of the people Roger eluded too. I would ask that there be
further consideration as to who and where the new boats will be coming
from. This is important. As Bram said; there may be a significant number
of
people in the steep learning curve with their boats. To encourage them
to
attend their first regatta it would be wise to make the location as
close
to
the majority of these (us) newbies.
To be perfectly honest. I really don't cherish the thought of driving
all
the way to the so called Mid West just to go swimming.
Why has Seattle not been considered?
Who out there is say; 75% complete? Where do you reside?
